Rowanne's Minibeast Assembly!

Today Roro had an assembly about bugs and things - mini beasts they call them these days!

I took a few pics - it wasn't easy from the back of the hall over everyone's heads - especially as I turned the flash off in consideration of the other parents / kids! So here are the pics from the occasion.

The kids were very confident in their presentation - and sang some nice songs too. I thought they were all brilliant - especially as they're only 5 years old!
Rowanne is pictured here with her favourite friends - Maisie and Eddie.

Alfie's corner!

We have been prettying up Alfie's corner of our room - and put these neat shelves up yesterday - they are great for keeping all the soft toys tidy - and later on will be useful for books!

Here is the little sleepy head having his morning nap!

Alfie and his jack in the box.

Alfie can turn the handle on this toy to work it all by himself. It's his favourite toy.

Jeremy's sausage rolls.

Today dad is baking homemade sausage rolls, while mum posts the ebay stuff sold over the weekend.

Alfie's First Word:

Alfie said his first word yesterday - "Dad!".... of course he heard it enough times from the other kids on our recent camping trip.....
"Dad - I need the toilet" (in the night!), "Dad - I'm cold" , "Dad I want a drink", "Dad I'm hungry"! You get the idea.....

So there we have it - clear as a bell - none of that "Dadadada"..... just "Dad"!

(He's still working on "Mum" - says "Mumumumumum!" - but then he doesn't need to get my attention so much - he's already got it.

Eating chocolate biscuits in the tent!

Cooking tea.

In the background is Fleecygirl's campervan! By the strangest coincidence we happened to camp next to her. We met up 3 years ago, after meeting online at www.thebabywearer.com

Our 1st family camping trip!

Tent's up! It took an hour.
